It's your lowest scoring cartoon!

This was both pointless and pleasant at the same time.
I would honestely like to know what competition this was for and what was the criteria? Or are you just taking the piss?
I seem to remember reviewing your Break Through Episode 1 cartoon so I know that you are capable of far better things than this anyway.
With that in mind I'm going to be very strict with my scoring here:

I hope you have learned your lesson!

(By the way, even though I voted 2 the score was increased by (+0.00036)! That's takes you up to a glorious 1.87!).

I made this for the Ranball Contest held at the Video Game Director's Cuts forums. I don't think it ended, but this was still really fun to make. Heh, and this was made long after Break Through. Basically this is just a joke movie =P

I'm gonna give you a 3 this time! >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

This one was slightly more baffling than your "Idiot Box" cartoon which I actually quite liked.
I'm not sure if there was a metaphor being played out here but your Authors' comments seem to suggest so- the thing he most wanted killed him, alas!
Again, the artwork was quite decent and I smiled as the cartoon came to it's conclusion.

NICE!

Animarious responds:

Thanks for your reviews.

I think I'll give this a 4\5...yes...yes I will.

This was pretty good. I actually laugthed at the "we have no talent" bit.
Your message was clear and you got the point across.
There wasn't much actual animation but the artwork was decent - I especially liked the "bouncing" static T.V screen.
Not a bad effort at all.
PEACE!

This isn't so bad!

I'm not really a big fan of MADNESS stuff but I tried to keep an open mind.
This submission is really only an ALPHA, as you say, so it is difficult to score this on it own merits. Having said that you have created a loyal fan-flick and the style and character movements seem to be in place.
I do have to wonder, however, would this really be scoring so high if it were not for MADNESS day 2007? How would this fare on any other day?
Still, it was pretty good and there is enougth potential here for me to regret that you never had a chance to finish it.
Keep it up! - sorbitol.

Me like!

I thought it was pretty good.
The voices were mainly clear but the occasional line was hard to hear.
Also, some words that flashed up on the screen were a bit too quick for me.
Graphics were nice and decent and I liked the background details.
The story was great as was the acting.

I'm gonna give you 9 I think.

Keep up the good work!

Popsey responds:

Yes my audio was a little tossed aside on this one. It'll get better though I guarantee it. And then the subtitles I was actually working on like Halloween night trying to get it done. Oh those trick or treaters. Thanks for the review.

5\5!

I loved it! The best thing I've seen for ages!
What program did you use for this? They didn't look like vector graphics.
The character design was amazing especially the robot squirrel.
And the robot's heat vision when he looks at the Rock-man was just brilliant.
This should be scoring much, much higher.

Loved it!

5\5!

Very impressive stuff!
Everything here was just brilliantly put together with some smart animations.
I loved the "Beano" style drawings (was that what you were going for?).
Music choices gave the right atmosphere at the right times and everything just fell into place.
The only piece of constructive critisism that I can offer is maybe to invest in a new mic- sometimes the voices were lost to the sound effects and, especially with a talant like yours, it's would be a shame if your future submissions didn't get the score they deserve because of this minor- MINOR!- setback.
Haveing said that everything else was just dandy and I wish you all the best with your future projects.

Yes I did actually have the Beano style in mind when I was designing this one. I thought it was something I hadnt tried before and I was running out of time so went with my gut.
I actually have got a decent mic, spent a lot of money on it. I just havent had much chance to practice with it. The sound is actually waaaaay better than my usual offering I just need more practice using it. For some reason it came out quite quiet and I kept having to up the volume on them. I might have just been too far from the mic or not talking loudly enough or something, or it could just be my room isnt very sound proofed. It was a bit rushed though, I only recorded my voice yesterday! So yeah need more practice using it. Thanks for your critique.

Not bad!

You had loads of really good ideas in this. And to attempt "bullet-time" in your first flash takes some balls!
If you were to remake this in, say, a years time when your skills have improved this would be classic.
Never give up sonny-jim!

5\5!

Should be scoring much higher.
Some clever animation in there like when he's walking through the desert.
Well written too, which is a rarity.
I wish you the best with this series- you really deserve it.

"As regards to favoriting you "Sorbitol" Absolutely no chance!! You are a nice guy and have great cartoons but you are riddled with politically correct socialist activists and are sooo biased I would not dream of going "official" with you..."
